Every Sunday

The Sunday
market.

Puigpunyent's weekly market runs on Sunday mornings, roughly 9:00 to 13:00, in the centre of the village. It is a small, local market of regional and seasonal produce, the place to buy fruit and vegetables from the valley and catch up with neighbours.

Make a morning of it: coffee on the square, the market, then a walk. The village walk starts close by, and the bars and restaurants open for lunch afterwards.

Good to know

Shopping
like a local.

1

Village hours

Shops keep shorter hours than in Palma, and some close for a long lunch. Shop in the morning to be safe.

2

Sundays and fiestas

Expect most shops to be shut on Sunday afternoons and public holidays. The Sunday market and the bakery are your best morning bets.

3

Say bon dia

A Catalan "bon dia" (good morning) on the way in goes a long way. Spanish, English and often German are understood.

4

Carry a little cash

Cards are widely accepted, but cash helps at the market and for small buys.
