Selected work
Villas, fincas, interiors and the details in between. Built work and design visualisations from the studio.
Place, material, light
Puigpunyent asks more of a building than most places on the island. The valley sits inside the Serra de Tramuntana, a UNESCO World Heritage cultural landscape, where dry-stone terraces, thick walls and shaded courtyards were the local way of building long before anyone called it sustainable.
That is the starting point of Barbara's work: read the plot, the slope and the light first, then design a house that belongs to them. Stone, lime, wood and earth; rooms that stay cool in August and keep their warmth in January; views framed rather than chased.
Whether it is a building plot in Galilea or Son Serralta, a village house off Sa Travessia or a finca on the valley floor, the questions are the same: what may be built here, what should be, and what will it cost?
