Waterfalls, rescued bears and zip lines on the mountain above the village, easy walks to an ice house and a windmill, and the water parks and sandy beaches of the south-west coast half an hour away. Ideas for families living here or on holiday.
In the valley
A nature park on the slopes of Galatzó: a 3.5 km mountain trail past springs and waterfalls, rescued animals including two bears, and optional adventure activities such as a long zip line. Allow at least three hours; pushchairs are not advised.
Galilea's old ice house, where snow was packed and stored until 1917, two windmills and the church square with a view to the sea. A short outing with a café on the square.
Fruit, local produce and a stroll round the village on Sunday mornings, followed by an ensaïmada at a café.
The village sports centre on Camí de sa Vela, beside the primary school.
The Biblioteca Municipal on Carrer sa Travessia, a quiet place for books on a wet afternoon.
For confident walkers: part of the Sa Mola loop to the crag above Galilea, or the classic climb of Galatzó for teenagers with stamina and an early start.

The south-west coast around Palmanova, Magaluf and Santa Ponsa, about half an hour by car. Season dates are for 2026; check each park before you go.
Slides and pools with a Wild West theme. The 2026 season opened on 2 April, usually 10:00 to 17:00, and until 18:00 in July and August.

Themed mini-golf courses, a good one for mixed ages. Open for the 2026 season from late March.
Palmanova, Santa Ponsa and Peguera have sand and shallow water for small children, all within about half an hour.
